*** September Notes *** During the month of September, I'll be moving north to Portland and will only be able to ship orders on the weekends.
Some weekend mornings, I just want to sit back with a good cup of coffee, my favorite magazine, and just thumb through the pages. Every so often, I come to a page that merits what I like to call a ‘dog ear’. I’m thinking to myself, “Here’s something that deserves a second glance”. I like to create art that has the same effect, hopefully catching one's attention and they find themselves coming back to see what I've been up to in my studio and an opportunity to catch all my new and exciting items.
Each item has been handcrafted with that special ‘attention to detail’. That ‘attention’ begins when that pair of Levis is sitting in front of me. I’m already envisioning what belt or handle works best with the fabric selection and the denim hue of the jeans. That attention is there from beginning to end, through the final steps as I assemble the lining, the denim bag, and hand-sew the lining to the bag.
So, sit back with a good cup of coffee and visit for a while. Hopefully, my art has inspired you to ‘dog ear’ or save me as a favorite. Don't forget to visit often... my mind is chockfull of so many fresh ideas, the world would be in a heap of trouble if I didn't get them out somehow.
And if you are in the Eugene area, please stop by my booth (space R6 on the fountain side) at the Eugene Saturday Market, the oldest open air crafts market in the U.S. Stop by, say hello and sit a spell.
Dare to be different!
